Re-Design

The Leap® chair represents a re-designed approach to seating products. Not only does Leap bring you a new technology, but also the product, its content, and its production processes have all been developed with the environment firmly in mind.

Reduced Waste

To reduce packaging waste, the Leap chair is blanket-wrapped- not boxed- for domestic shipment. And to further eliminate paperboard waste, we worked with our suppliers to develop reusable parts containers for use throughout the manufacturing process.

Recyclable Parts

The parts of the Leap chair can be separated and sorted for recycling. By weight, 92%- 98% of the Leap chair is recyclable, depending on the options you choose.

Built to last a lifetime, the Leap chair is backed by our limited lifetime warranty.

Reduced Emissions

Volatile organic compounds used in adhesives and paints have been virtually eliminated from the Leap chair. And toxic metal plating processes have been replaced by water-based technology.

Refresh & Reuse

You can remove and replace the pillowed upholstery on a Leap chair to refresh its look and renew its useful life. The fabrics can be separated from the cushions and both pieces recycled.

Recycled Content

Made of 50% post-consumer recycled PET, the cushioning used in the pillowed upholstery back is no woven polyester. It easily separates from the fabric and is 100% recyclable.

Leap:  a new technology, a new chair, a healthier way to sit. Outer back and outer seat are plastic. Lumbar height 5" of additional lower back support is available as an option. Arm height can adjust independently within a 4" range to help relieve upper back and shoulder fatigue. Seat depth adjusts within a 3" range on work chairs.  Stools adjust 2 1/4" range.  Fixed seat depth models are also available. Five-arm base is standard. Casters have hard, dual-wheel that roll smoothly on carpets.  They are 3" for increases mobility.  Soft, dual-wheel casters are available for use on hard floors or chair mats.  Stools have 2" hard and soft casters. Arm width can adjust within a 3" range for each arm to provide fore-arm support in neutral position for 5th to 95th  percentile office workers. Arm caps can pivot independently 14 degrees in and 21 degrees out to accommodate individual user preferences. Seat edge angle allows the front edge of the seat to drop down close to 2" relieving pressure behind the thighs. Lower back firmness changes the amount of the firmness user feels in lower back.  Requires only two complete turns. Upper back force requires only five complete turns and accommodates a broader range of users by allowing user to change the rate of increase in force as the user reclines. Seat height adjusts within a 6" range with a pneumatic adjustment mechanism.  A 7" range is available as an option.  Stools have an 8" range.  Meets ANSI/HFES standards.
