Rubber "Crutch" Tips with Metal Washer

This 1- 1/2" diameter, 7/8" high rubber crutch tip is popular on the bottom of folding table legs.  It has a metal washer inside to keep the sharp open edge of tubing from cutting through  the rubber  crutch tips.

Steel Brackets for Casters
Steel brackets are made from thick 12 gauge steel and are perfect for attaching a caster to the bottom of any metal unit that utilizes angle iron at the base.  All metal brackets accept the 7/16" diameter friction ring stem.  Raw steel finish, ready for welding.

Stamped Metal Sockets

Stamped Metal Caster Sockets accept a standard 7/16" diameter friction ring caster stem.  Typically used when a strong caster socket is needed.  The steel platform rests on the bottom of the tubing and keeps the socket from " shearing" into the tube. Spring steel clips give excellent pullout resistance.

Caster sockets and caster stems can be a source of great confusion!  Try the following to identify what you need:
 (1)  For caster sockets, firsy identify the outside diameter and thickness of the tube, only then determine the caster stem that fits the socket.
(2)  Choose the thickest caster stem possible.  Use our handy stem pictures to the right as your guide.
